Sometimes they called him names like "Pee Wee," "Tiny," and "Shorty."
But usually,
they did not talk to him or play with him at all. That made
the little giraffe very sad.

Giraffes do not talk; they have no vocal cords.
But, they do have black tonques
that are so long they can clean their ears with them. |
